Does Green Tea Have Caffeine?

This article has been viewed 7 times.

Are you looking for an answer for the question :does green tea have caffeine?

If so, I can give you my short answer:

Yes, it will.

Green tea does contain caffeine.

Proceed if you need the longer, more detailed answer

Green tea contains less caffeine than coffee
However, it will contain a much smaller amount than coffee.

Coffee may contain up to 100-150mg of caffeine, while a cup full of green tea contains about 25mg. This is a much smaller
amount, and the ones often use green tea as a substitute while quitting coffee, so as to reduce withdrawal symptoms.

White tea contains less caffeine, while black tea contains more.

If you want to know the significance of this, next, i recommend you look into my green tea vs coffee post, where I compare the
health results of coffee and tea.

Tea contains other stimulants related to caffeine
Green tea also contains other substances that stimulate one?s heart and central nervous system.

They are called Theobromine and Theophylline. They are related to caffeine and they are generally also found in the Cocao plant (what
chocolate is made of).

Tea also contains an amino acid called L-Theanine, which is thought to have a calming effect. This can slightly offset a few of
the stimulant effects

Why so much interest?
Well, although coffee is not actually bad for you in any way, a number of people don?t like the side connection between it and that is in a very large
part a result of the caffeine content.

Some unwanted effects of caffeine can sometimes include anxiety, restlessness and insomnia. These are typically mostly due to the stimulant connection between
caffeine, and since green tea contains diminished amount of it then it should cause less unwanted effects.

For these reasons, green tea may be a healthy option to coffee. It has even demonstrated an ability to have some decent health benefits,
that is a subject for a later post.

P.S. I wouldn?t really like to promote other artists products on my website, but for this one I will make very. It is called
Highlights, and they are offering a reasonably sweet package if you wants a complete strategy to their eating
plan.

It is just a book, along with tons of bonuses, such as a complete day-to-day diet plan, recipes and many more. You need to at
least take a look at their free video, they?re giving away a lot of free information that matches with a lot of what I must say
here for this blog. Make sure to watch ?till the end.
