LAUSANNE, Switzerland - The Olympic Museum will offer free admission until the end of January before closing for renovation.
Starting Thursday, the entry fee has been waived for an eight-week period.
The museum, which is home to Olympic memorabilia and exhibits, will close on Jan. 29 for a major facelift that will last 20 months.
The museum was opened in 1993 and has welcomed more than 3.3 million visitors.
During the next two months, the museum will host a special exhibition called "Best of 1992-2011," highlighting Olympic moments over the past 20 years.
