For more than 50 years, one furniture shop has been in the market still making huge waves up until this very day. The trademark goes by the name Mathis Brother, this entity has been in the Oklahoma state since decades and decades back. It is a fruit of hard work of two brothers named Bud and Don Mathis; they are the two people responsible for the huge success of the business. It all began when these two guys started helping out their father?s small furniture store, as kids they grew to understand the significance of furniture and furnishings in the homes of the people in their community.

They evolved into smart men capable of doing what their father has also been doing for years, but when they grew old, they discovered that their passion for furniture is nowhere near fading, and for that reason they decided to build their own company and named it after their surname. In 1955, the birth of their very first furniture business came into existence in their hometown Oklahoma. As the years go by, the two continued with operating the business seamlessly, in just a short amount of time, the two Mathis Bros were able to promote and push their products to the entire community.

Business growth and profit became inevitable, it is because they are one of the pioneer shops in their vicinity that offers furniture, but even though things are going strong for the family business, Bud felt that he needed to take off and venture out in other business opportunities. Without any hesitation, he told his brother Don that he would soon leave everything to him; Don said yes in a heartbeat, he understood what his brother is trying to aim for. When Bud left, the store continued operations, but this time only one man is running the whole company.

In 1988, all that has changed when Don had two grown sons named Bill and Larry, the former furniture shop that Don built and started with his brother Bud is now bought by the two sons of Don. Mathis Brothers became a completely new entity, but the name, content and everything involved in it remained the same. The only difference that the second line of brothers did is the application and execution of their new slogan ?Every day Marked Down Low Prices On All Items? and it was this statement that has even brought the business to the surface.
